ABOUT EVIDA
Two people who have done the job.
Evida was founded by Chloe Wallace and Sue Bancroft. Between us we have more than forty years in HR, most of it inside organisations rather than advising from the outside. We have sat in the boardroom, made the decisions and lived with what came next.

How we met
We met at Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, both at the beginning of our own consultancy careers, both working out what we wanted this next part to look like. What we found was a shared belief that the best work happens when people bring others with them rather than guard what they know. Clients followed, and we found ourselves working side by side long before there was a name for it. Evida is simply that partnership, made formal.
That instinct to collaborate runs through everything else we do. We both sit on the council at Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, and separately hold roles as trustees and ambassadors in our communities.

The founders

Sue Bancroft
FCIPD | Co-Founder, Evida
Sue is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD with more than 30 years' experience in HR, progressing from operational roles through to HR Director and Board-level leadership.
Much of her career has been spent in logistics, transport and other fast-paced, operationally complex businesses, where HR decisions have to work commercially as well as stand up from a people and legal perspective. Her experience spans complex employee relations, trade union environments, organisational change, leadership development, restructuring and building HR capability.
Having worked at Board level and alongside CEOs and senior leadership teams, Sue understands that people decisions rarely sit neatly within HR. They affect performance, cost, risk, culture and ultimately the organisation's ability to deliver its strategy. Her approach combines strong employment law knowledge with commercial judgement and a pragmatic understanding of what businesses can realistically implement.
Sue has built and led HR teams, designed and delivered leadership development programmes and advised leaders through some of the most challenging people situations organisations face.
Alongside her commercial work, Sue is a Trustee of Sheffield Mind and was a Women of the Year finalist, subsequently becoming an Ambassador.
After moving into consultancy, Sue has focused on bringing senior-level HR thinking to growing SMEs while also partnering with larger organisations and established HR teams when additional experience, challenge or specialist expertise is needed.
Outside work, Sue can usually be found at the gym, walking her dogs, or spending time with family and friends.
Chloe Wallace
Assoc CIPD | Co-Founder, Evida
Chloe is an experienced HR leader who has worked across fast-paced, commercially demanding environments including FCA-regulated businesses, automotive retail, commercial vehicle finance, engineering, manufacturing and private equity.
She has led HR through mergers and acquisitions, business turnarounds and exits, working closely with Boards and senior leadership teams where the stakes are high, decisions need to be made quickly and the people implications can be significant.
Her experience spans organisational change, complex employee relations and business transformation, with particular technical expertise in TUPE. She regularly leads transfer projects from initial planning and due diligence through consultation and implementation, alongside advising on complex and sensitive people matters.
Chloe brings a strong commercial lens to HR. She understands that the technically correct answer isn't always enough; leaders need to understand the risk, the options available to them and what each means for the wider business.
Her approach is pragmatic, direct and focused on helping leaders make informed decisions and move forward with confidence.

Our network
We work with a trusted network of specialists across a range of disciplines. When a piece of work needs expertise neither of us has, we bring in someone we know and have vetted, rather than pretending otherwise.
Are we the right fit?
We work with local SMEs, to global PLCs, as well as household names and some of the UK's official Best Places to Work. Size and sector are not what we look at.
What matters to us is whether you care about doing right by your people, and whether you will act on what you find out. Insight is only worth something if somebody does something with it.
If you already see the link between how people are treated, how they perform and what that does to your bottom line, we will probably get on.
Think we might get on?
Tell us what you are dealing with and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right people for it.
